Sure, the hotel may have a buffet, but here are my two favorite breakfast hotspots for the morning after your wedding! (They're even FABULOUS to cure those blasted hangovers.) I highly suggest you check out, Beth's Cafe or Glo's Cafe, even if you don't get out of bed until 2:00 pm.
Beth's has been featured on the Travel Channel, Food Network and the Learning Channel, in addition to being voted "Best Place to Cure a Hangover". I have to agree. Beth's has become a favorite of mine when I'm in the Seattle area for pretty much any meal. Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner? I've even developed a standard order.... the Triple Bypass. Their 6 or 12 egg omlet choices are perfect for sharing (a tiny extra charge for the split is totally worth it), and still having leftovers.
Glo's is a tiny place, open 12:00 am to 4:00 pm and you'll want to arrive early to get a seat, but the coffee is complimentary while you wait. When I visited this cozy restaurant, I was seated at a shared table with a couple. The whole atmosphere feels very much like sitting in a dining room with your family. I'm guessing it's something about the small space. While their menu boasts some interesting options, including smoked salmon in both a scramble and a Benedict, they also have milder options for those of us who aren't as adventurous.
Feeling like you've eaten too much but don't want to head back to your hotel? Greenlake is right around the corner from Beth's or head down to Pike Place Market to walk off those calories and enjoy your first outing as newlyweds.
