Sounds insanely miserable right? But it's the perfect season for warm apple cider, cozy layers and loads of snuggling with your hunny. It's also a wonderful time for an engagement session and here are three ideas to spark your engagement creativity.
1) Visit a pumpkin patch. Pumpkin patches are a huge part of the fall season and lucky for you, they boast more than just pumpkins! Most of them have corn mazes, other fun and awkward squash types, plus a bunch of food! Head down to Pumpkin Palace and grab a hot dog before heading over to chat with the turkeys. Spooner Farms tends to be super busy on the weekends, but it's a great time to go visit the dinosaurs in the corn maze and get a little lost in the meantime. Finally, for the brave of heart, there's Maris Farms. I haven't personally visited in the daylight, but after dark... it's one creepy experience. Grab your photographer (don't worry, she's brave) and head out to find the Great Pumpkin while celebrating your love.
2) Play in the trees at Point Defiance Park. Point Defiance Park is one of my go-to places, both professionally and personally. I can't tell you how many sessions I've shot here (It's been at least 4 this year alone) and how often I take my kids (or even just myself!) out here to relax. Over by the Pagoda is a beautiful garden area that's currently covered in reds, yellows & oranges. Head over to a bench to snuggle with your hunny for a minute during your engagement session.
3) Checkout the Carbon River Rain Forest Nature Trail. A quick and easy half mile round trip hike, makes the perfect mini adventure for your engagement session! Grab a beautiful dress and play princess for a bit.
