Wedding Planning | 6 Ways to make your winter wedding sparkle

Winter weddings can be incredibly magical

Something about the holidays always gets to me. Maybe it's the snow, the decorations or just the general aura of the season, but it's always a season of pure enchantment. Here are six ways to make your winter wedding sparkle:

1) Glittery tree branches. This bundle was found at Kristy's Country Store in downtown Sumner, which is an amazing little shop to find goodies in. Be sure to check out vintage shops in your area for beautiful glittery branches like these. You could also make your own using a tutorial like this one by Momtastic (<-- click for link).

2) Vintage Ornaments can add a beautiful magical vibe to your wedding. Toss them in bowls with some tinsel, hang them from tiny tree centerpieces, or gift them to your guests as a special keepsake.  3) Twinkle lights. Any color of twinkle lights. Wrap them around a dollar store wreath form that you've painted with sliver paint, or between false trees to create an archway.

3) Pinecones and berries. Frost your own berry branches using a tutorial like this one from Lynn's Sweet Paradise (<--Click for link). Stick come sliver or glittery pinecones in bowls, scattered on tables, or use them to hold up your guest's place cards at their table settings.
4) More Glitter. No joke.
5) Candles. If you can't burn real candles or don't want to risk a fire, choose battery operated tealights. Candle holders are pretty easy to find, and you can have a customized decal made from any number of etsy sellers. Send home the candle holders as a keepsake for your guests.
6) Last but not least, snowflakes. There's nothing more beautiful than these completely unique ice crystals. I've found some beautiful pieces at the shops in downtown Sumner. Be sure to check your local vintage shops and craft fairs to find the best unique pieces.
