Dying Eggs with Rice

I always dreamed of being the pinterest mom.

But realistically, I'm more of the hot mess mom. It's a good thing if I put on pants in the morning, because working from home allows me to be lazy. ;) My mom on the other hand, she's got an artsy-craftsy side that I might be able to tune into if I wasn't so focused on other things. This year she found these dyed eggs using rice. It was supposed to be less messy, and since I have a bit of a hoarder complex when it comes to baking supplies, I had the necessary billions of food dye colors so we could get every possible color we needed. Seeing these projects come to life is always a fun experiment and the girls always have a good time doing crafts with Noni. One thing to note if you do this, the eggs that were soaked in vinegar took the color better... all the way through the eggs. (I'm hoping to try this next year with homemade food coloring!)
